I got a ticket!!!!
I got a ticket to come for the Lodge weekend.....am sooo very excited. Have been looking for a ticket and found one that I thought was a deal, so I got it. Chose to go with Southwest Airlines so that I get 2 free bags....think I can fit a sewing machine into one of them??!?!?!? :>)
We won't be able to make the wedding in August, so it was just a real treat that I can make this event. Looking forward to seeing all of you.
Should have joined the challenge, but felt like I just made a donation to the last one since I didn't do a thing. Good luck to all you participants...I will be your best cheer leader.

Update

I heard from Heidi Nielsen: Her and Abbie won't be able to make it this time and wish they could. Al and Abbie are in Colorado then and Heidi will be home with Tino. She says to let her know about the time away. We'll miss seeing them! I did hear from Liz that Jackie's Mom, Chris, might be able to come and Mariann is checking out tickets! I hope this update finds everyone in good health and enjoying spring. Love ya all, Joann

We're having a graduation party for Andrew

Andrew graduates May 8, saturday.
After the ceremony John and I are having a barbecue at our home in chillicothe.
I'm making a formal invitation and will send it in the mail soon, john will get a map to our home also.
Would love to have you come but I understand with the distance and all.

July Get-Together

I am definitely going but details haven't been worked out yet. I talked to Mariann and there is a possibility that she may fly and we can make a connection at Waterloo for driving together to Wisconsin. She doesn't yet know if the trip will work out timewise--we will keep you posted. I'm hoping Kathy and Anni can work something out with us--again time will tell. July seems a long way off----or is it?

EMail sent

I sent the following EMail today: Hi all. We are up and running on the Zeets blog. Google: "Zeets family blog" to get to the site. It's a blogspot blogger. You can read and comment anytime but to post ask Ann how to set a sign-in account. I'm EMailing this to all the original recipients but if you opt out I won't send you updates but go on the site anytime you want to read what we are up to. I did hear from Aunt Barb. She's traveling out west with her sisters to see family. She'll be at Andrew and Jackie's wedding and see us then. Also Fran is coming but waiting to hear if Robin (and Georgia) and Sarah are coming. Cary won't be able to come. Jamie Zeets won't be able to come but Kathy and Annie might be able to come Fri- Sun. Yes's are: myself, Katie, Nancy, Rosie, Ann and Rowan, Aunt Joni, Liz, Jackie and Andrew, Deanne and Danielle . Heidi: waiting to hear if you and girls are coming. I hope it works out! And Mariann might it work? It will be great seeing you! I'm also EMailing this to Chrissy Conry. I don't think Mary Lou has a email address. Happy Easter!!

I hope everyone has had a lovely Easter. We celebrated with David's family. The kids dyed Easter eggs and then went driving. We got to see Grandma Emma's new/improved/bigger room at Bethany Home. We're looking forward to the get together.

A Zeets function. Oh I am so ready. I missed the Sanibel connection. Something new. How exciting. I like the multi-generation thing too. I'll do my usual...nothing but enjoy. Anyone for fudge? Tee hee.

Info on the lodge in July

I'm sending this info off to you all to start the communication for the lodge booking for our craft/shower/get together the weekend of July 16th- July19th in Maiden Rock Wisconsin. I am posting it on the Zeets Family Blog and also EMailing it to everyone. I am including all the recipients EMails and please get ahold of Ann Anderson if you need to get back on the blog or get on it for the first time. Please reply a interest level so we know our numbers. If you can't decide until the end of June, that's OK. Just let us know if you are a "maybe". We have at least 10 gals committed so that would be a total of $120 a piece for the 4 day 3 night lodging. It will be less$$ if the numbers rise. Some of you have put a deposit down already; I'm keeping track. I'll need the balance the beginning of June. As stated before school children and the shower guest of honor: Jackie, aren't expected to pay for lodging. There is lots of bed space . 7 bedrooms with 16 separate beds. 24 1s capacity if beds are shared. Visit the site at thelodgeretreat.com . Also there is a interest by some of the gals in doing a weight loss challenge. Starting Mon. April 12th going to Thurs. Jul. 15th. Any contestants in the challenge bring a "very nice" gift to the winner. The winner gets first pick of half of the gifts; 2nd place next pick of one or more. 3rd place a gift and if enough contestants a 4th place. The starting weight and ending weight will not be posted. A percentage of total weight lost will be the deciding factor. It's like on the "Biggest Loser". I nominate Katie Loesch to be our correspondent and tallier. If it helps you to report your loss often do it to her. Back to the lodge : it will be a great time! They area has so much to see and do. It will be a great time to connect with family. I'm planning on getting the food with Ann Anderson offering to be our chef! We'll tally that all later. I'll keep you posted . Love to all.
