More details

Good news the lodge gals are going to trust us with the few cartridges of cricut software they have. Did I tell you 4 sisters and their parents are owners of the lodge. Well in a correspondence I lamented that "crooks" spoiled it for the rest of us and just got chatty about how all us family were going to be together; well to make a long story short we get to use some of their stuff! On another note. If you need to cell phone us on Friday: Mike will have the cell phone so he can pick up Fran and bring her to the lodge. So call Katie: 310-309-7320. Or Mariann, Annie, or Joni will have their phones. I'm not sure what everyone's reception will be like. We'll call you travelers and let you know who has reception from the lodge.

Stockhold art fair

Hello, I was browsing the internet looking for what's in the area of the Lodge, and saw that Sat the 17th is Stockholm's art fair. It is only 10 minutes from the lodge! Granted we have the shower on Saturday at noon, but for those who aren't doing crafting maybe you would be interested in going to the fair in the morning before the shower. I can't wait to see many of you later this week! It can't come soon enough in my opinion, I'll have a BUSY week at the office so I can take a few days off.

The address is W3547 State Road 35 Maiden Rock Wi 54750 . I found it helpful for the Illinois people or the Iowa people to go to the web site for the lodge retreat and follow the directions (not the map only) which is on the site. Directions are given from the Wisconsin Dells or Rochester Mn. Keep in mind the directions take you to the town not the lodge. (strange). The lodge is on Hwy. 35. right in town. It is a small town. 2-3 blocks long. The lodge is on the river side (west side) of the Hwy. If you cross the Mississippi at Red Wing you go Right or south on Hwy 35 and Maiden Rock is within 10 miles on the right side of the Hwy. (note: Red Wing is in Minnesota. so that would help the Iowa-Missouri travelers)

I heard from Andrew... Jacki, Chris, and Andrew are coming Fri. evening and can stay until Sat. evening. It will be great seeing them!

Getting closer! ( I heard from Katie that Annie Zeets won't be able to come! We'll miss ya Annie! ) I need a reply from the rest of you on who will be arriving when and staying how long you are staying so meals can be planned and food bought. Ann Michele, comes on Thurs and we'll be buying the food then. She has a great menu planned! Of course I know Katie's, Joni's, Mariann's, and Ann's plans. Kathy, talk to me about your travel plans cause Hwy 63 ( through Rochester) goes 10 miles from the lodge! You'll probably get there in 4 hours or less. I'll tally totals for lodging and food when we are at the lodge. My credit card payment for the lodge isn't due til a few days after our gathering. As I mentioned before students (Rowan and Danielle ) and the future bride and groom won't pay for lodging but I'll divide the food cost by all the lodgers. So gals the total for lodging will be $105. We paid for 2 nights ($1200) and got the 3rd night free. And food $15-$20 total ( unless I'm way off there!). I've also kept a list of who has given the down payment. Any one can come as early as 9a.m. Fri. and stay as late as 4p.m. Mon. Also Mariann,Joni is flying into your terminal 1/2 hour before you from Chicago on Southwest! I gave her your flight info. and I'll pick up you two together. On a different note if you have difficulty with train noises be warned we are by a train track! Joni said she'll bring a bunch of ear plugs! But I know the pluses to the lodge will out way any trains! Any questions? Jo-Jo

Happy 4th

What's everyone's plans for the 4th? Mike gets home from the Canada fishing trip tomorrow night. Sam is in California for another week. I'm off work 3 days so I'll work on some projects. I'll post lodge's phone # and other info. next week. Any room-mate preference? We have 17 people so far. I have a olde time photo book with black and white pictures I'm working on and of course iris folding cards and helping Katie with any projects. I'm waiting to talk with Annie on the food she's planning and then I'll let you know what foods will be there and I could purchase any of your favorite foods or snacks. I don't want to have you all bring food unless you want to. Katie has a idea planned for the shower luncheon to go with her theme. I'll work it out with Annie...surprise for the rest of you!
